About ASP

This is a project of environmental education and is addressed to teachers and students from schools of all levels. The philosophy of the project is based on the necessity of sharing information on the present state of the environment, on  acknowledging the fact that each of us influence this state and of the fact that, through joint actions and measures (of school, family, community, countries, continents, the whole planet), we can make it better. We have to understand the role pertaining to each of us in achieving a better and healthier world, and our assumed role should be ACTION.

The concept of the program may be easily communicated to students and may help them in funding a system of values which allow creating and maintaining a free and open society based on three main ideas: unity, community and positive ideas. Inertness and fear of failure must be surpassed and we must show the young people that each of us has the power to help and that, together, we can overcome any obstacles. In this respect, the pedagogic coordinates of the project shall be:

• Correct and complete information, awareness of the present environmental problems;
• Taking decisions;
• Action.

The project aims to contribute to the transformation of educational methods in the countries involved in the partnership, through establishing new learning themes based on the process of taking decisions by students themselves. The project shall offer to teachers creative and interactive teaching methods, aiming to increase active involving of students in activities of protection and enriching the environment (learning by doing).

Through education and the involving of the community, the project aims to improve the attitude and behaviour of the young people from the countries involved in the project as regards the environmental issues. Our project definitely aims to educate the students through the curriculum and through extra-curricular activities, for achieving an education network of students for students (cascade education).

The final results of the project will ensure the transfer of the achievements acquired during the project, in the educational environment.
